Product Overview
WE-E300 is an industrial-grade isolated single-serial port server, using ARM Cortex M4 program, main frequency up to 192MHz, integrated 10/100M Ethernet transceiver, high-speed serial port RS232/RS485 and other hardware interfaces and the standard TCP/IP stack, through the configuration of a simple software setup, you can realize the industrial products serial port and the Ethernet channel of the bidirectional data transmission.
WE-E300 supports four working modes: UDP client, UDP server, TCP client, TCP server, and TCP server, and TCP server mode can support up to 8 channels of clients to connect and communicate at the same time.
Hardware is isolated by multiple protection, reliable and stable performance. The motherboard ESD level 4 design, support 10KV air discharge, 8KV contact discharge. Ethernet port 2KV electromagnetic isolation design, serial port anti-static 2KV, lightning protection, anti-surge design.
Application Areas
Serial Servers instantly network legacy RS-232/485 devices. Using a serial server, you can access, manage and configure remote devices from anywhere in the world with your computer over a network. It allows electrical devices that only have serial interfaces, such as POS, ATM, display, keyboard, card swipe machine, card reader, switch, mini-machine, gasoline dispenser, RTU, numerical control machine, test instrument, etc., and microcomputer protection devices to easily connect to the Ethernet network to realize networked management and remote control. Common application areas:
- Unattended weighing: Using a serial server, you can connect related serial devices such as weighing meters, receipt printers, road gates and other weighing equipment to the LAN.
- Unattended weather station: through the monitoring of wind direction, wind speed, temperature, humidity, air pressure, rainfall, soil temperature and humidity of various types of sensors sent to the network equipment
- Remote Attendance: Attendance machine plus serial server, can transfer attendance data to the server
- Intelligent construction site tower crane monitoring: real-time wireless transmission of machinery above the tower crane operating status on each construction site, combined with data acquisition and fusion processing technology to reduce safety hazards
- Intelligent city flood monitoring system: real-time collection of rainfall and water level information in culverts, transmitted to the network through the server for timely processing
In addition, serial servers can be used in various applications such as POS, ATM, display, access control, gate valve, card reader, gasoline dispenser, CNC machine, test instrumentation and so on.
