I. Background overview of public transportation projects

CEC's company undertook the smart bus transformation project, the existing bus automatic bus stop announcement system is mainly through the satellite positioning bus coordinates, according to the coordinates of the bus to send out the announcement instructions, based on the satellite signal is subject to variable environmental interference, resulting in inaccurate positioning, signal drift error, resulting in the weakening of satellite signals or no signals, which will be false or omitted through the satellite positioning situation. We need to improve the accuracy and stability of card reading through our ZigBee positioning program to make up for the shortcomings of satellite positioning.

Second, based on the World Power ZigBee positioning solution

  • Installation of a 4G network card reader at each bus stop;
  • Each bus is fitted with a solar-powered electronic tag;
  • Buses in motion through satellite positioning, the bus arrives at the bus station near about 100 meters, bound to the station card reader instantly read the bus bound to the label signal, through the 4G automatic reporting to the bus dispatch system;
  • The dispatch system sends commands to the bus stop announcement system to announce stops automatically through the reported data.

IV. Product Application Introduction

Active card reader antenna (WE-TX20)

  • Simultaneous detection of 500 electronic tags, detection distance up to 150 meters in the open.
  • The wireless signal field strength of the tag is measured and the actual distance of the tag is calculated.
  • Call 10 tags simultaneously for audible and visual alerts (audible and visual tags only)
  • Use the RS232 asynchronous serial port to communicate with other devices with modifiable baud rates.
  • Provide open communication protocols to facilitate users to connect the antenna to their own control equipment.
  • Outdoor waterproof, antenna feedline length can be extended up to 50 meters (9600bps).

Solar Energy Electronic Label (WE-T78)

  • Wireless transmitting power 100mW, transmitting distance up to 300 meters in the open.
  • The wireless band is in the 4GHz globally developed microwave band, with no application or fee required.
  • The solar panel charges at 60mA on sunny days and 4mA on cloudy and rainy days.
  • The tag fires 1 time per second, with an average current of less than 1mA, and continues to charge even on cloudy and rainy days.
  • Built-in 120mAH small battery, can work continuously for 120 hours in dark environment.
  • There is under-voltage reminder, under-voltage after sunshine on sunny days for 2 hours to restore full power status.
  • The tag operates slowly after undervoltage and fires every 5 seconds.
  • Waterproof grade IP67, can be outdoor rain for a long time, can be submerged in water for a short time.

  • 9~36V wide voltage supply.
  • Soft and hardware watchdog guarding.
  • Supports both RS232 and RS485 interfaces.
  • RS232 can output 5V to power WE-TX20.
  • Supports 4-way socket passthrough.
  • Support empty packet data filtering, empty packets are not reported through 4G.
  • Supports TCP/UDP/HTTP/MQTT/Point-to-Point transfer/SMS passthrough.
  • Offline caching is supported.
  • Hardware reliability: anti-reverse connection, static electricity level 4.
