In the course of subsequent maintenance services, in order to improve its user experience and reduce system downtime due to equipment failure, the company developed a cloud server platform to centralize remote monitoring of the working status of chillers.
During site deployment construction, relevant electrical equipment needs to be installed, and for sites with multiple chiller units, secondary retrofit deployment is required.

In order to avoid on-site piping and wiring, the customer requires a wireless solution for uploading and collecting data, which reduces the construction period and saves construction costs.

ZigBee to RS-485

  • Compared to the traditional solution scheme, users need to deploy RS-485 bus to cascade the chiller control board RS-485 interface for transmission; or deploy a 4G router for each chiller. Both programs will have higher deployment cost.
  • Adopting ZigBee gateway, it can realize RS-485 to wireless node transmitting and support Modbus protocol data transmission, the whole network only needs one 4G router to collect data, which reduces the on-site construction cost and the equipment and operation cost of multiple 4G routers.
